General board members attend board meetings and participate in fundraising event planning and hosting. Come be a part of our team and help us stop the cycle of violence against women and children.”

There is hope!
90% of residents who have lived at Alpha House indicated they will live independent lives free of abuse. We’re headed in the right direction!

We are a non-profit organization, receiving operational funding from the Family Violence Prevention Program and various grants from the Winnipeg Foundation and the Manitoba Community Services Council. We are very pleased that our funding sources cover program costs and make it possible for Alpha House to operate. The Alpha House Foundation Board continues to raise additional funds for the purposes of providing more services to residents and their children and to expand the reach of the organization.

Our dream is to more than double our capacity to help women and their children leaving abuse. We’re committed to doing everything in our power to end the cycle of abuse.

You can help by:

• Becoming a member of Alpha House

• Making, donation by cash, cheque, VISA or MasterCard; of new and/or used items; and through long term giving (i.e. planned giving, estate planning and wills)

• Donating through the United Way or All Charities Campaign (under "other" designate Alpha House Project Inc. as the charity of your choice.)

• Purchasing 'Wings of Empowerment' Pins

• Volunteering and/or becoming a director on the Alpha House Project or Foundation Board

• Becoming a corporate sponsor
